K&C Company and Tim Coffey

OMG! I haven't been this excited in a long time about a new line of papers. I just went shopping at JoAnn Fabrics for some paint for a special project I am working on and decided to browse the Paper Packs. Well I had a paper pack of the Indian Summer DCWV collection that was the die cut Patterened Paper sheets, when I stumbled across a whole huge display of new paper from K&C Company. I fell in love. I couldn't decide and I had a 40% off coupon so I picked up the Fall Collection and the Halloween Collection as well as a pack of matching double sided Die cuts and a 3-D sticker pack. I just opened those packs a few minutes ago and was floored at the colors, textures, and patterns on all of the paper, and the Die Cuts had 2 of each for a total of 170! Wow. I am just so excited. If these new papers can't get me in the mood to scrap again I do not know what will. The papers are heavy double sided and wow are they textured. There is glitter, embossing, and several other textures on them. I am just amazed at the quality and value of what I bought today. I took a few pictures but they do not do the items justice. These I hope will get me to want to do more this Fall/Halloween and actually scrap what I do take pics of. I am so eager to give these a try. Makes me wish I had something Fallish to scrap!

Cards and Wall Art.

Well I decided last night to create a Halloween Card for my friend Tammy who loves Halloween as much as I do. I don't normally do the whole Halloween card thing, but I found a cute template at http://www.papercraftmag.com/ and thought, What the Heck. It was simple yet allowed for my own twist to the card.
This is the front of the card. I used my Silhouette to cut the Ghosts, scalloped circle and Circle out.

The inside of the card is a template that you can download for free from Papercraftmag.com. I just printed it out in the size I I needed then cut it out using a pair of scissors.

Patterened Paper: DCWV Fall Stack 2008, Black Cardstock: Cored'nation Hocus Pocus Collection, White Cardstock:Georgia Pacific, nailheads:unknown, Ribbon:Unknown, Orange Glitter: Doodlebug, Lily White Glitter: Doodlebug, Onyx Glitter: Martha Stewart, Peridot Glitter: Martha Stewart, Black Gold Glimmer Mist:Tattered Angels, Scalloped Circle, Ghosts, Circle: QK Silhoutte Files, "Happy Halloween" Spellbound Sticker:Making Memories. This was my other project I worked on last week. I took the plunge and decided to put some vinyl wall art on my scraproom wall. Now I love fairies and QK came out with some awesome files in the past few weeks. The Phrase was one that they had put out earlier in the year for the Silhouette and then the Fairies and Mushrooms came a little later. I decided to combine the 3 and create my wall art. This is how it looks cut out with the vinyl. I felt it was a little too plain so I decided to spruce it up a bit with some color. This is the final result...

Well Allie goes back to school in a few days so I am hoping to get some scrapping started. I have a lot of pictures to scrap or at least attempt to scrap. I am enjoyin gthe card making, so I may even start Christmas Cards and hand make them this year. I would think they would be quick and easy this year with all the files that QK is putting out and all of the Card templates that you can find online, I think I could do these in no time. Well Have a good day and I will hopefully have more to post on Wednesday.

Getting My Room Ready To Go!

Allie starts school on Wednesday, and I decided to get my room ready for my first unintterupted day of scrapping in a very long time. I am planning to start with my car layout and then move on to the wedding of Will and Renee. If that doesn't work I have Zoo pics to scrap. I am planning on posting some layouts as soon as possible. I took the plunge and created a vinyl wall decoration in my scraproom above Allie's computer. I used black vinyl and then layered colored cardstock on top of it to make it look like it was 3-D and had shadows. I will post a pic as soon as I download them from my camera. I am planning a crop for October 24th. It will be a Halloween get together with Fall foods and decorations. I am looking forward to it, and the invitations are made and being sent out. Well I am off of here. I am headed to Marthastewart.com for some Halloween decor ideas. She has some really easy to do things on her site that at that little extra to your decorations. Have a good day and hope to see you soon!

A New View!

Well everyone it has been a while, but I haven't had that creative drive to scrapbook in a long while. I have started with something small like a tag swap on Visual Designs By Chris's website. I have 2 more tags to finish up which is on my agenda for tomorrow. I am home bound as Dear Hubby's van is in need of repair so he is taking my car to work. We went car shopping yesterday and came home with a Saturn Vue. I love it. I love driving it and I never imagined that I would enjoy sitting up high again. For about 17 years I have rode low to the ground in my Saturns and then yesterday afternoon I get the car I have been wanting for several years. The ride is smooth and quiet and it has every bell and whistle you can possibly put on a car. All except for the DVD player but Allie has a portable one that has a place to hook it up. I love the sunroof. It is wonderful to look up and see the sky and feel the wind and sun on your face. I drove it for the first time to work last night and then ran errands today. I am in love with my car and I can't wait to scrap it. I already have the title bouncing around in my head, I just need to get more pictures and I will have my first layout that I am eager to do int hepast month or so. Well need to get going. I want to head to bed at a descent hour tonight. Have a good one and I will be posting htat layout soon.
